چکیده

An analysis of MIMO antenna system in the development of LTE (Long Term Evolution) terminal and the compensation of user’s induced loss is presented in this paper. MIMO wireless systems have antenna arrays at both the transmitter and receiver terminals. Multiple input multiple output (MIMO) technology has been regarded as a practical approach to achieve significant increase of wireless channel capacity and reliability. LTE terminal adopts MIMO technology to improve its performance. KeywordsLTE antenna, MIMO antenna, mobile terminal antenna, OTA performance, radiation

Mobile Antenna Systems for 4G and 5G Applications with User Body Interaction

The cellular communication system has evolved from first generation (1G) analog systems that are only for voice communications, to 4th generation (4G) systems that can support high-throughput data transmission. Recently, the evolution of cellular systems is on the way to 5th generation (5G), which plans to utilize the spectrum over 6 GHz and into millimeter wave (mmWave) frequency range to depl...

The 17th Annual IEEE International Symposium on Personal, Indoor and Mobile Radio Communications (PIMRC’06) MIMO CHANNEL MEASUREMENTS AND ANALYSIS WITH PROTOTYPE USER DEVICES IN A 2GHz URBAN CELL

This paper describes an outdoor MIMO measurement campaign conducted in the 2GHz band employing a sounding bandwidth of 20MHz. The study aimed to compare the MIMO performance of two prototype devices with a reference dipole antenna module. The results obtained reveal a systematic blocking of one of the PDA antenna ports with the user’s thumb alongside a significant reduction in the available MIM...

Conical Conformal Antenna Design using the CPM Method for MIMO Systems

Abstract- In this article, the design of conformal antennas has been discussed using the characteristic modes (CM) method. For this purpose, the vector wave function(VWF) has been utilized to achieve a two-dimensional mapping of the conformal antenna. In designing and analyzing of cone-shaped antennas applicable for multi-input multi-output (MIMO) systems, the most important goal is to achieve ...

Polarisation-Diverse MIMO System Performance for Mobile Phones Wlan Application

A triple dual-band inverted F antenna system is presented, intended for MIMO applications in mobile handsets accessing high-speed wireless local area networks (IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n standards). A comprehensive study was carried out in order to understand the enhancement of channel capacity and the effect of polarisation diversity. Means of achieving minimum coupling between the three antennas were...

On the Duality between MIMO Systems with Distributed Antennas and MIMO Systems with Colocated Antennas

Multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) systems are known to offer huge advantages over single-antenna systems, both with regard to capacity and error performance. Usually, quite restrictive assumptions are made in the literature on MIMO systems concerning the spacing of the individual antenna elements. On the one hand, it is typically assumed that the antenna elements at transmitter and receiver...
